This past week on Thursday, three (3) incredible, amazing women were nominated and recognized as potential award winners for the Athena Award. The Athena is given to an outstanding woman in the community who demonstrates exceptional and exemplary contributions during her career in the region. This year’s nominees, Angie Dickman, vice president at Reid Health; Pat Heiny, co-owner of Contemporary Consulting; and Bonita Washington-Lacey, senior vice president at Earlham College; have all been extraordinary leaders for this community.
Many of the lifetime successes and accomplishments that these women have brought to this area are immeasurable. Many of our organizations in this country and beyond, have been the beneficiary of the wisdom and leadership provided by these 3 women. We salute each of them and with a sincere thank you for all they have done to make this a better place to live and work.
This year’s winner has served as a past board chair of the Wayne County Area Chamber of Commerce and servers on many boards across Wayne County. On behalf of the staff and board of the Wayne County Area Chamber of Commerce, I would like to congratulate Angie Dickman as the recipient of the 2017 ATHENA Leadership Award for Wayne County.
