Richmond, Ind. – Center City Development Corporation (CCDC) Executive Director Scott Zimmerman announced today that Richmond native, Marty Hancock, will join the staff March 14 as Director of Programs and Marketing. Hancock has been working as an Account Executive for Brewer Broadcasting and has worked closely with small businesses and nonprofits in the area on marketing and business development strategy. His responsibilities include coordination of the Corporation’s business education programs and its technology programs, including the Greenhouse Coding Academy and Hour of Code.
“Marty brings business development, marketing and event coordination skills to Center City. In addition, he will help with our strategic planning process as we grow our facility into a vibrant technology hub,” Zimmerman said.
Hancock serves on several boards and committees for local organizations and is an active community volunteer and youth leader. He is dedicated to serving the United Way-funded ‘More Than Words’ campaign and is a Cubmaster for Cub Scout Pack 108 in Richmond. The Innovation Center houses business incubator space, and is focusing on technology startups. Previous Innovation Center tenants include Web Canopy Studio, an inbound marketing and website development firm; RadioTroy.com, a DerCo Internet Broadcasting Company; and, GreenFiling, a certified electronic filing service for state and local courts. Hancock replaces Dawnn Ripberger, Marketing Coordinator, who is expecting her first child in March.
