A call for Nominees

As we look back over 2017, there have been many celebrations with you, our members. The year began with our Annual Dinner, Together We Win, and 15 businesses and individuals were highlighted for their work and commitment to Wayne County. We have had 19 ribbon cuttings with more to come! We celebrated 14 businesses with new or updated buildings at the Community Improvement Awards. We highlighted yet another area of agriculture with the Farm Tour at Bell’s Strawberry Farm. There were visits and opportunities to connect with many elected officials, including Governor Holcomb. Educational presentations were given on a variety of topics for you and your employees. A new Buy Local Certified program was launched, and we celebrated with Wayne County Weekends throughout the summer. Most recently, we highlighted restaurants and businesses with the Taste of Wayne County and the new Business Expo.

Whether you attended all or none of these events, please know that your Chamber, board and volunteers were hard at work representing you and making Wayne County a better place to do business.

Mark your calendars for January 19, 2018 when we will host the next Annual Dinner. It will be another “can’t miss” year! We are attaching the nomination information and form for the 2017 awards that will be presented at the Annual Dinner. Please take a few minutes to consider those in our community who have earned special recognition for their impact. A list of past winners is also included. Then, submit your nominations to Melissa@WCAreaChamber.org or mail them to 33 South 7th Street, Richmond, IN 47374 by November 15.

Thank you for your continued membership and contributions to our great community. We look forward to working together with you into the coming year.

Sincerely,
Melissa A. Vance
